VOLT 230 mpg - What a Load of Crap

GM (Government Motors) claim that the Volt gets 230 miles per gallon is one of the biggest lies a Government division as ever told. If you read the specs on the GM website under were it says that the Volt gets 230mph ,in the fine print, it says that the Volt uses 25 kwh per 100 miles. Some simple math will show what a lie the 230mph is.

First lets talk about how much energy the gas you put in to your car holds. I looked up this information on the Internet. I did not go out and do any test to find these numbers (to lazy). I found many different number they were between 33.33kwh & 39kwh. The main factor that is going to affect this number is the Octane in the fuel. I am going to use the lost number for the math here to give the Volt as much help as I can.

Next you have to find out the efficiency from the Power Plant all the way to the rear wheels of the Volt. This is very hard to find out. It can be very different from one place to the next. The Power Plants efficiency would depend on many different variables. Some examples would be how old the plant is, what type of fuel the plant uses (coal, gas, nuclear). Of course the electricity that is used at our house can come from many different plants. You are also going to loose efficiency from the power plant to the house, were the power enters the house to the wall socket you loose efficiency. Then you have the efficiency of the car itself. In my equation I am going to use 60% efficiency. I think that this is very generous efficiency and would really be much lower.

Now we have to establish the efficiency of the of the power plant in the car. Of course this depends on the car. The older the car the less efficient it is going to be. Some cars to day can be 25% to 30%. I used 15% to give the Volt as much help as I could. This will only be used to find out how many miles per kilowatt hours the power plant of the car gets.

To Find Miles Per Gallon of Gasoline in Volt Equation:
-33.33 kwh(kilowatt hours) per gallon of gasoline
-60% = .60 efficiency from power plant to rear wheels of car
-25 kwh per 100 miles or 4 miles per 1 kwh
-(4 x 33.33) x .60 = 79.99 mph(miles per gallon of gasoline)
So you see that the 230mph that GM (Government Motors) tells you is a load of crap. Now this is still pretty good gas millage if you are always using the batters. I do not know how what kind of gas millage the little engine on the Volts gets. There is also the efficiency of the Power Plants that you can not be sure about.

Governmnet & Marriage

Why are people in this country so abscessed with government legitimizing so many things? In many cases they do not even realize that they are. One of the best examples is with Marriage.

Many people do not consider there selves committed to each other, bound to each other, and responsible to each other until they sign that marriage certificate. Why is this? Why cant a man and a woman who love each other just sit together and tell each other that they want to spend the rest of there lives together and then work together to support each other and standby each other. Why do they need the governments blessing for them to be committed for better or worse.

The only reason that anyone should care weather the government recognizes there marriage is for tax purposes. Of course this should not be so because the 16 amendment should be abolished but that is another blog for another day.

Now if you are religious and your religion requires you to walk down an aisle and recite your voles in front of your priest this is a completely different matter. Or what ever your religion requires you to do for a union.

When I look at the way people act before they get married, while they are married, during and after a divorce and it is like they are always doing what the government says. They can not solidify there union until the government says so. They will not really work on there relationship unless the government makes them. For example in North Carolina you have to be separated for a year before you can get a divorce. This is one way the government tries to make you reconcile your differences.

I am not sure if I explained this well but it is very hard to explain my thoughts about this. I really feel like I did a really bad job explaining my thoughts on this but here it is.

Drug War in Mexico

The Drug Cartels in Mexico are fighting the Mexican Government. This war is spreading in to the US and the Cartel operates out of every major City in the US. There is one simple way to take care of this problem and that would be to LEGALIZE DRUGS!!!

Drugs are were these Cartels get just about all of there money and this money is what gives them the power to fight the Mexican Government. If the US would Legalize Drugs then they would loose there base for cash and so they would loose there power.

People are always going to do drugs and there is nothing we can ever do to stop it. If you make certain drugs illegal then you greatly increase the price of these drugs therefor creating huge profit margins for the large criminal organizations that take up the drug trade. Just look at prohibition. During Prohibition the criminal organizations took up distributing alcohol (with is a drug) because when the Government made alcohol illegal it made it extremely profitable.

In this country we spend who knows how many Billions of Dollars to fight this war on drugs and the illegal and prescription drug use just gets worse. Our jails are over crowded with none violent drug users that have not done any thing to hurt anyone else.

I also believe that making drugs illegal makes them much more attractive to young people. When kids start to rebel they are going to do things that they are told not to do. Drugs are considered so taboo and government fights them so hard it makes them that more enticing to young kids who are rebelling against what ever.

Why do we not just stop wasting all this time and money fighting this useless war on drugs and spend it on educating people on the effects of these drugs and how bad they are for you. There are plenty of studies out there that show education and counseling work much better and are much cheaper then jail.

Shannon (my older sister) do not give me this crap about "What about the Children". So often when some group of people are ready to take away freedom they start this what about the children crap. People trying change or get rid of our 2nd amendment use the same excuse.

Tea Party

All over the country on April 15 people are have Tea Parties to protest the over taxation and size of our Federal Government. Here is were you can go on facebook to see if there is one in your area. In North Carolina there is one in Raleigh, Asheville, and Fayetteville. Please go and show your Federal Government that we are not going to put up with this anymore.

Take Our Republic Back

The politicians in Washington have taken our Republic, turned it in to a Democracy, and are now turning it into Socialism. I the last 3 months our Socialistic government has spent around 2 trillion to bail out bad companies or in the name of economic recovery. This is money we do not have! Before Obama as even been in office for 100 days he will have socialized medicine, nationalized Citi Group, spent another 1.5 trillion dollars, raised taxes on "The Rich", raised taxes on the poor and middle class also (although the Democrats would never admit that) and there is so much more.

Were does all of this stop. Soon we will not have a country left. It is time for the people that want to restore our republic "The Republic of These United States" to take it back by force. I believe that we are past the point of restoring this republic through the Democratic process.

I have heard people like Neal Boortz say that government only has the right to use force to accomplish its goals but I disagree. The founding fathers of this Republic gave us the right to "Bear Arms" (the 2nd Amendment). This was not just put there so that we could protect our selves from people trying to rob or inflect harm on us. It was put here so that if our government got out of control and was taking away our natural borne rights protected under our Constitution that we could use this right to Bear Arms to take back our Republic and give back the Natural Borne Rights of the people of this Republic.

We need to pick up our weapons and remove these corrupt pollutions from office and reform our Republic so that it can continue to be strong and prosper into the next century.

Obama & The Stock Market

I love to look at these charts! Every time this man opens his mouth or signs one of his Government Growth Bills the Stock Market goes in to a free fall. What this says to me is that this man is going to destroy this country while the stupid masses cheer him on. You would think that people in this country were at least smart enough to see this correlation and were able to put two and two together. But I guess that the government has done a better job then I though in the Government school system!
